Technical Manager

Position Summary Responsible and accountable for managing maintenance costs, contractor-performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance functions of all plant equipment, new equipment installations.   Essential to this Position This individual will be a key member of management that is responsible for leading all technical employees within the facility. They will be responsible for the timely definition and execution of technical solutions that create value and support the overall ORBIS business objectives. This position will play a vital role in building a technical team that is cross-functional and process oriented to achieve site goals. This position will also be responsible for balancing cost, time, quality and innovation with the development of new tools and production processes as well as being a core leader with the management team focusing on meeting plant objectives. Develop a TPM culture while managing an Enterprise Asset Management system. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for all employee safety and personnel issues in accordance with company policies and union contract language Enforce proper PPE at all employee levels Must be able to build and lead a cohesive team focused on company objectives of efficiency, quality, service and safety Standardize technical roles and responsibilities within the plant Drive lean manufacturing principles throughout the ORBIS manufacturing plant by implementing mechanisms to improve processes as well as process standardization and training Ensure direct and timely feedback is given to the plant team on operation progress with these initiatives Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required and develop measurement system so that improvement processes can be benchmarked Enforce consistency of core processes across all manufacturing operations Develop employee's understanding of critical success factors of the business Drive the deployment of process adaptation, development and optimization throughout the manufacturing plants Ensure contractors are following compliance regulations set forth by company Mentor Supervisors and Engineers in the assimilation of new equipment, material, products and processes Lead multiple operation initiatives from a Technical Manager perspective including training development, operational standardization and equipment normalization Manage capital expenditures through the entire process including: justification, project management and validation Keys to Success: Bachelor's Degree- in Technical Management or Plastics Engineering with Management Emphasis, Master's preferred 8 years of Manufacturing or Technical Engineering Management Experience 12 years of total experience related to Manufacturing or Process Engineering in injection molding or structural foam molding operations. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
