Insurance Agency Account Manager - Commercial Lines P&C

Full Time - 40 hours/week. Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay range: $15.50/hour to $20.50/hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Primary Purpose:
The Account Manager serves as the agency contact for customers and prospective customers. An Account Manager must get to know all of his/her clients and prospective clients and be responsible for meeting the customer's needs in a timely, effective and friendly manner.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
o Servicing of existing clients, including accompanying Risk Advisors on appointments outside of the office as occasionally requested
o Work with Risk Advisors in retaining renewal business by identifying policies requiring renewal attention, requesting renewal quotes, following up on delayed renewals, remarketing, negotiating prices and coverage, renewing policies, and generating proposals.
o Take a pro-active approach for managing the process for new business and renewals and continually touch base with Risk Advisors to determine proper outcome
o Assist Risk Advisors in securing prospective clients by preparing materials for submission to carriers, submitting applications or obtaining rates online, negotiating prices and coverage, and generating proposals.
o Handle all inquires and maintain service standards for all assigned clients on a continuous basis
o Make coverage recommendations or changes
o Follow agency and department procedures for account maintenance
o Become proficient and timely in all customer management database activity (TAM/Microsoft CRM), to include strong documentation of any paper trails and customer interactions
o Set follow-up activities in customer management system for appointments and any other related follow-up needed with clients and prospects
o Work toward familiarization with all relevant carriers and their products, including familiarization with various applications, forms, and underwriting requirements for each carrier
o Serve as back-up to other team members
o Maintain efficient communication with carrier representatives
o Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and products
o Assist with industry research and presentation needs
o Offer constructive suggestions for improvement of departmental or agency procedures, wellness initiatives, or operational efficiency

Qualifications:
Required:
o Minimum one year in related insurance customer service field or successful completion of insurance/business related college courses
o Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel (including the ability to use formulas in Excel) and the ability to become proficient in our customer management systems (TAM/Microsoft CRM).
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Excellent problem resolution skills
o Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
o Valid driver's license
Preferred:
o Continued education, including: associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or progress toward a bachelor's degree
o Current insurance license
o 2-3 years of related insurance/customer service experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
