Accounting Assistant Bookkeeper

Assist the Controller with various administrative functions. Prepare accurate and timely vendor payments. Maintain accurate and accessible vendor records. Work with vendor to improve processing and solve vendor problems. Prepare and collect payment from members and outside functions. Enter and maintain data in accounting database. Process and assume responsibility for payroll. Assist with office functions as needed such as pickup an delivery of mail and pick up of payroll. Back up answering incoming phone calls.
-- Must have a 2 year Accounting degree and/or minimum of 4 years related work experience.
-- Proficient with Excel and Word. Helpful to have POS experience.
-- Able to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
