This position is responsible for performing electrical power distribution design. Experience working with Medium Voltage Power Distribution. This person will need to be able to design downstream from the High Voltage transmission lines.
Job Duties
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and establish construction standards and specifications.
Prepares and studies technical drawings, and electrical specifications to ensure the installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
Plan Layout of electrical construction projects.
Conduct Field Surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
Work closely with internal and external customers.
Provide guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
Inspect completed installations to insure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
Operate computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Provide guidance to the electrical designers and engineers.
Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite. (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
AutoCad knowledge is required.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code(NEC)
Education and Experience Requirements
Associates Degree in Engineering and 5 years progressive electrical engineering related experience. Need to have experience working with Medium Voltage Design.
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
Prefer the person would have their PE(Professional Engineering Designations)
This is a direct hire position.
Must be able to work for any employer here in the US. No H1B company sponsorships.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
