Internal Audit Intern

Network Health is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to join us September through December 2024.
The Internal Audit Intern would work closely with the Director, Manager, and Staff Auditor on various audit projects.
He/she will interview staff and management to understand and document operational processes and test related key controls.
He/she will evaluate compliance to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and work with management to develop remediation plans for any exceptions identified.
This individual will need to maintain a strict level of confidentiality when collecting and summarizing information for Network Health's audit team.
This individual will also need to be comfortable asking questions when needed and be able to learn from mistakes.
This internship will start roughly around September 1 and run through December 15 for 20 hours per week.
Working location for this position will be in the office at one of our offices in Menasha, WI or Brookfield, WI Job
Responsibilities:
Learn basic aspects of the HighBond and ACL audit software Assist in the testing of MAR process controls and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting Review control and process documentation and interview management to update process narratives and control information Request control populations and select appropriate samples Conduct audit procedures for the sample selections and render an opinion as to the control effectiveness based on information obtained from interviews and test results Work with management to understand any test deviations and identify corrective actions to remediate any control deficiencies identified Run monthly analytic scripts and review results with internal audit management Internship
Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business At least one year of experience is required and could be gained from schooling (i.
e.
completed an auditing course) or previous employment or internship(s).
Individual must have completed at least two years towards a college degree program.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
