Summary:
The Process Engineer will work with the Project Managers and facility technicians to identify process related issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.
The Process Engineer will evaluate new equipment for potential incorporation into the system or identify ways to replace or upgrade existing equipment to improve the efficiency and operations of the facility.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Work with other Dynamic team members on the research and development of new products or processes.
Focus on continuous improvement of online facilities to increase efficiency, reliability and optimization of processes and equipment.
Possess the ability to understand and evaluate piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Possess the ability to create conceptual layout drawings of proposed facility modifications.
Provide the Project Managers with process-related technical support as needed.
Ability to travel 10 to 20% of the time.
Skills and Abilities:
Must have the ability to complete all tasks within the defined timeline while staying at or under budget.
Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills - Identify potential issues with the plant design or operational philosophy and work to develop alternate solutions.
Cost/Benefit Analysis - Ability to analyze potential options on an installed cost basis and financially quantify the benefits.
Prepare a written report to management summarizing the results of the analysis and provide recommendations.
Decision Making Skills -Make critical decisions in the face of adversity and stress, and work with the Project Manager to execute said decisions.
Analytical Skills -Evaluate different technical and operational approaches to achieve the desired process goals and if needed, implement the proper process and equipment, all while maintaining budget projections.
Mechanical Aptitude - Understand pumping, piping, and other mechanical systems to assist in solving operational or performance related problems with the ability to assist plant facility technicians if needed.
Communication Skills - Frequently engage in verbal and written communication with the Engineering Manager, other members of the design team, outside engineering firms, vendors, and plant staff to clearly articulate the design plans and expectations, creating a cohesive team experience.
Technical Writing Skills - Develop the control narrative and mechanical control logic for the proper operation of the facility in a clear and concise manner that can be interpreted by both the system programmer and operational staff.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
(Required) Bachelor's degree or related experience in Mechanical, Biological Systems, or Process Engineering, or related qualifications such as professional experience in wastewater, waste-to-energy, or biological systems design, construction, and/or operation.

Compensation Compensation is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role.
In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program as well as paid personal time off and holidays.
