The Manager, Communications and Public Relations partners with the executive leadership team, vendors, and media to ensure that all communication aligns in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision, values, and brand of Goodwill NCW.
Key Responsibilities Serves as a visionary leader and owns public relations (PR) to advance the position Goodwill NCW as a true partner to the communities we serve, creating engaging content that builds Goodwill NCW's reputation, profile, and credibility to support business growth objectives.
Acts as an organizational spokesperson and responds to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed, serving as the face and voice of Goodwill NCW, both mission and retail, partnering with subject matter experts as appropriate.
Crafts a wide range of PR copy such as press releases, media alerts, story pitches and client talking points (copy writing and proofing).
Manages public relations for both earned (articles, news, and press releases) and paid news segments ensuring efforts help advance our mission.
Partners with Manager, Organizational Communications to support mission storytelling through mission videos and blogs.
Manages community management for social channels to engage existing and potential customers, donors, and clients.
Directs and produces media/video content designed for long-term audience engagement, including but not limited to promotional content, media, video, organic and paid social content.
Leads community outreach initiatives such as community events to help position Goodwill NCW as a trusted community partner and ensures that initiatives are measurable in terms of improving the overall organizational communication outcomes.
Drives strategic objectives and develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through real-time data and analytics to measure performance, informs new strategies and identifies new opportunities.
Fosters an environment in which leading-edge developments and best practices in communications are explored, adopted, and adapted for Goodwill NCW.
Proactively leads continuous improvement of best practices and demonstrates willingness and ability to manage change cross functionally.
Monitors industry news to stay informed about the competitive landscape and identifies rapid response opportunities for Goodwill NCW to grow our brand recognition and profile.
Owns reputation management, ensuring Goodwill NCW's brand is protected.
Manages budget for areas of responsibility.
Manages any possible crisis communications.
Champions a customer first culture and level of service.
Education, Skills & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Master's degree is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience as a content marketer, writer or brand marketing is preferred.
Experience in shooting video and editing.
Experience in public speaking experience.
Exceptional analytical, data gathering and strategic thinking skills.
Proven track record working in a multilayered, wide-reaching organization and influencing leaders across the organization to ensure all messaging ladders back to the overarching strategy.
Experience with nonprofit organizations is preferred.
At least an intermediate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build partnerships across departments within the organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
